NASI ISPANI -GAUTENG GOVERNMENT PROGRAMME

Nasi Ispani is a strategic recruitment drive aimed at addressing unemployment and promoting access to job opportunities available within the Gauteng Provincial Government. The programme was launched on Friday, 16 June 2023 in commemoration of the day in which South African Youths were ambushed by the Apartheid regime which resulted in the loss of more than 500 South African youths.

The name “Nasi Ispani” is a Nguni phrase that means “Here is a job”. The programme is open to all South African citizens who are unemployed and meet the requirements for the available positions. 

While the programme is aimed at targeting the youth or under 35 years South Africans, the jobs offered by the programme are not only limited to the youth and all South Africans can apply and get the merit based recognition as may be determined by the Gauteng government. So all unemployed South Africans may apply.

Currently, Nasi Ispani is offering hundreds of jobs, from cleaners to professional jobs such as Engineers, which can be checked on Gauteng government portal. You will need a South African ID number to register a profile in the Gauteng government portal from where your applications could be made. For more information click on the highlighted links.
